A Blackmagic PYXIS 6K egy full-frame (36mm×24mm) érzékelős 6K felbontású kamera, kiváló, 13 blendét átfogó dinamikatartománnyal, amely a nagy kontrasztú felvételeken is, mind a sötét, mind a világos zónában gazdag árnyalati terjedelmet biztosít, a bőrtónusok pontos visszaadását nyújtja. A kamera képes Blackmagic RAW és H.264 Proxy file-ok rögzítésére 2db CFExpress kártyára és Ethernet csatlakozóján keresztül a média Blackmagic Clouds-ba megosztására. A PYXIS 6 több 1/4" és 3/8"-os rögzítési ponttal és kiegészítő oldalsó plate-ekkel rendelkezik, amelyek segítségével könnyen egyedi kialakításúra alakítható, megkönnyítve ezzel a kamera felszerelését gimbalra, jib-re vagy más kameramozgató eszközre vagy kiegészítők felszerelését a kamerára.
